REVISIÓN BIBLIOGRÁFICA INTEGRADORA

Resumen

Objetivo: Identificar los tipos de electroestimulación (EE) descritos en la literatura para el tratamiento de heridas cutáneas. Método: Revisión bibliográfica integradora en las bases de datos electrónicas: Scielo, LILACS, MEDLINE vía PubMed Central desde enero de 2017 hasta diciembre de 2025. Se utilizó la herramienta PICO como estrategia de búsqueda para artículos escritos en portugués, inglés y español. Se incluyeron artículos originales con texto completo alineado con el objetivo de la investigación. Resultados: Se seleccionaron cinco artículos. La mayoría de los estudios demostraron una cicatrización acelerada de las heridas con el uso de electroestimulación en comparación con la terapia estándar y el placebo. Existen varias modalidades de EE disponibles y utilizadas con éxito para la cicatrización de heridas; sin embargo, el número de estudios varía en cantidad y calidad entre los diferentes métodos de aplicación. Conclusión: La electroestimulación demuestra un gran potencial terapéutico para estimular los procesos de cicatrización en diversos tipos de heridas. Sin embargo, el efecto de la EE aún no está claro. Se necesitan más estudios, en los que la evidencia científica pueda definir los factores que mejoran la efectividad de la EE
